Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast Roll-Ups Recipe

Ingredients:

12 slices white sandwich bread, crusts trimmed
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup strawberry preserves
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Butter, for frying


Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:
In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese and strawberry preserves until smooth.
Prepare the Bread:
Flatten the bread slices using a rolling pin to make them easier to roll.
Assemble Roll-Ups:
Spread a thin layer of the strawberry cream cheese mixture on each slice of bread.
Roll up the bread tightly to enclose the filling.
Prepare Egg Mixture:
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
Coat and Fry:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt some butter.
Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
Fry the roll-ups, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides.
Cinnamon Sugar:
Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
Roll the hot roll-ups in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
